You just have to budget really well, and learn how to live a month or two BEHIND your budget (get a head start and maintain that buffer zone), unlike most people these days who go into debt living ahead of their budget. I see friends younger than me with ridiculous amounts of credit card debt and I feel really bad for them. Credit cards should only be viewed as a monthly loan with no interest, you have to pay the balance in full every month or they'll fuck you up the ass.

sounds all too familiar, haha. if there's one thing i'm NOT good at, it's budgeting. i'm finally almost out of credit card debt, and i realize now that i absolutely HAVE to live within my means, otherwise i'll have to compromise my health insurance, trade in my new car for an old piece of shit, and not have any money at all to save, spend or put into my illustration business.

luckily i have a job that doesn't suck entirely; i get to listen to music all day, don't have to deal with many people and i get paid way too much for what i'm doing, haha. hopefully this whole art thing will work out sooner than later and i'll be able to just draw and paint all fucking day from the privacy of my own home.
