We are proud to announce the addition of New York City 's Behold...the Arctopus to the BMA roster. The BMA debut Nano-Nucleonic Cyborg Summoning features a compilation of material from the group's previous releases on Troubleman Records and Epicene Sound Systems in addition to a slew of live tracks. For those unfamiliar with the group, they are an extreme, instrumental and very experimental band that have as much in common with Ruins, Voivod or Cynic as they do with harsher tech-metal bands like Psyopus or Necrophagist. They are a trio comprised of guitar, drums and warr guitar (a 12-string instrument played primarily by tapping that covers the range of guitar and bass). They combine furious virtuosity, detailed composition countered by improvised soloing and certain writing techniques of contemporary classical music to give their insanity a compositional cohesion rarely heard in rock music.

The group has previously released material on Troubleman, Epicene, Eyes of Sound and most recently Crucial Blast. Check them out on their upcoming tour with Dysrhythmia (Relapse) and Yakuza (Prosthetic). Some music from the band can be found http://www.myspace.com/beholdthearctopus.

Look for the release to hit stores late summer/early fall of this year.

Mike Lerner - guitar
Colin Marston - warr guitar
Charlie Zeleny – drums
