This will be a slighly different take, seeing as I saw all these bands for the first time at this show:

Seabeast: I missed their set thinking the show started at 9, plus I thought they were going on second, which kinda sucks because they were one of the reasons I went, but I'll catch them next time.

Throwing Shrapnel: I've known Sean for years and have been looking forward to seeing his band for a long time. I expected it to be just straight grindcore but I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of slow, doomy parts mixed in to give it dynamics, and even a really bad ass super fast thrashy riff at one point. My only complaint would be that they were about five times too loud for the room. Sounded great outside though. I liked how they set up on the floor, too, that was a good call for that time in the evening.

Rosetta: Cool ambient trippy noise metal, I liked it. Unfortunately though, the guitar was again painfully too loud for the room, and at one point in the middle of the set, he put on an effect on that was feeding back so badly because of it that the noise/music ratio was 70%/30% for almost ten minutes, causing many people to go running out of the room. A real shame because these guys were good, weaving their set together into one epic journey.

Tides: Like Rosetta, they were doing a similar ambient metal type style, but with two guitarists. The volumes were much more reasonable by this point and it really added to their set. I only wish they had used the two guitars to throw some harmonies in there, but that's just me.

Sin of Angels: Heard about these guys forever, finally got to see them. These guys definitely came off as headliners, their volumes were perfect and well mixed with each other, and they came off very tight and professional; a solid three-piece death/doom metal juggernaut. I wish I could have hung out until the end of their set but I'm glad I got to catch some of it.
