locked in a vacancy: it was great, but it was getting wicked late so I understood. they shred so hard, but still have some breakdowns for the moshers. each time I see them, they have more and more technical parts. since this was jonah's last library show, they busted out the trooper for their last song. that was awesome cause punx, hardcore kids, mods, metalers and everyone can get behind maiden.
also, from the minute they got there, the singer watched every band play. 10 points!

disaster strikes: after the cops cleared out they set up for a rogue set really quickly. it was fun and hot... slowly approaching ICC heat cause no one could go outside. they played really quickly and almost all of it was singing along. I think steve austin actually recorded their CD so he was singing a long too. the crowd went crazy and my lens fogged up.

today is the day: in the same weekend, I saw them go from the peak of professional environment and the most DIY, hiding from the cops in a basement. their set was fucking intense. they jumped on ds's equipment and played awesome on it even though it was a million times hotter than any of the bands to this point. it was also awesome cause they played with everyone singing along through the whole set. Watching this happen, people dancing, sweating, and singing along in a basement with the possibility of the cops showing up was so much fun. I wish scenes like that could play out more often and there were more places for bigger bands like titd to play along side with all the other localbands like this. I feel that a lot of metal bands are left out of the DIY scene and basement shows. but this was a very great and special event.

as I walked home, I tried to call back to tell jonah that the cops just turned down pratt st. but blue wouldn't pick up his phone.
