Is that what being an outcast is all about, mass acceptance? no..... rap doesnt own death metal because of the cds they sell.... they own it intellectually.... rappers dont make the attempt to play the guitar or sing. death metal fuckers do..... some douches play a series of easy lame ass chords on a guitar while some guy screams into a microphone. and infact icp has made a song where they prove to people that they are not musically talented and dont try to be. now to your second point. icp is not popular. icp is hated by the mainstream world and the underground world mostly. they get no airplay no media coverage. they are about as unpopular as you get like death metal. and to the third point about the outcast thing: i first got into icp because i was tired of following the crowd. all you did was help prove my points. does that answere your questions?
