what was up with the bar keepers and all? they were super super pissed off about everything. they also weren't letting anyone underage in (ever with the whole "merch person" thing). some of the band members weren't let in cause they were underaged and they had to wait. also the back deck was closed down so all the little lotus eaters had to go some where else.

deathamphetamine: they switched with porphyria cause they are always late. they were an interesting mix of black-ish metal and metal with a little hardcore thrown in. kind of reminds me of what weapons bring war. I think the vocals would sound a bit better if they were mixed better. they got better as the set went on. the guitar players looked like they weren't doing anything yet a bunch of cool riffs were flowing out of their guitars. The singer did the overkill thing and got off stage when he wasn't singing to let the rest of the band play.

porphyria: finally, all of them showed up. no fans this time. I tried to be a fan, but it didn't work. the drums were set up so far forwards so the band spilled out on to the floor. I think they must be so used to playing small venues or squeezing in front of other bands drum sets.

nefarious: damn, they only stopped once during their whole set. most of the crowd was fist pumping the whole time. their set was all the same songs they usually play put into a non-stop wall of blackmetal.

leukorrehea: I looked at the clock and they were starting at basically midnight. their set was extremely short. it started right off with tecnical difficulties too. the bass player's strap broke and Aegathis's guitar was making horrible squeeking noises. the bassplayer sat on the ground and banged his head for most of the set. the guitar seemed to work it's self out and they just kept going. the sound guy told them they were done, but then let them play another song.

nightstick: so I've never seen them before, but I've seen the cd case. Front of the stage as usual... and then the guitar player's guitar comes down on a rock, blasting me in the face with paint, wood chips, and rock powder. one destroyed guitar and that was the first song! for the rest of their set, I was looking at his guitars, scared that he would smash them.. they were nice... they had a clown in the back that did some sort of hippie dance while listening to a walkman and singing to itself. they played noisey, psych-rock. at some point another guy got up to play bass for one song. It was 12:55am and the sound guy gave them 5 more minutes, but they played until 1:12am (1:20 o'briens time). the last chunk of their set was done without a the board on as the sound guy packed it up while they were playing. And to get the set? another guitar crushed by a rock, shooting sparks out everywhere.
