CRYPTOPSY - http://www.cryptopsy.net
Cryptopsy have begun mixing their upcoming live album, None So Live. The album was recorded at a show on June 1 at The Medley in Montreal, Ont. The artwork is being produced by Francois Quevillon, who did the band's previous two album covers. The tracks cover the band's entire career, with at least a couple of tracks from each album.

We are sorry to inform you that due to irreconcilable differences, Rain Fell Within has disbanded. Though there are mixed feelings about this decision, we are unable to continue to work together. Inquirers may still contact any of the former members at band@rainfellwithin.com. However, no further comments will be made on this issue. Erik Rutan Moves On From Morbid Angel

Erik Rutan has announced he is leaving Morbid Angel in order to devote himself entirely to Hate Eternal. Erik began playing guitar with Morbid Angel in 1993 and has played on three of the band's albums, as well as numerous national and international tours. In 1996, Erik began forming Hate Eternal, a blistering Death Metal band that takes technicality and brutality to new levels. In Hate Eternal, Erik fully expresses his own musical and lyrical ideas, handling vocals and guitar, and the majority of the songwriting. Hate Eternal's debut album, "Conquering The Throne", was the high-water mark for Death Metal in 1999 -- a furious yet precise assault on the senses. Hate Eternal's second album, "King Of All Kings" is now finished and is set for release on September 16th in Europe and September 17th in the US.

Erik had this to say about his decision to focus all his energies on Hate Eternal:

"Being in Morbid Angel for the past nine years has been the greatest time of my life. To play in my favorite Death Metal band of all time has been a tremendous honor. I want to thank Trey and Pete for all the great years and all they have done for me, and all the fans who have supported me and will hopefully continue to support me in the future. It is now time for me to stand on my own two feet with Hate Eternal."

Covenant who became The Kovenant are re-releasing their first cd "in times before light" after remixing it and remastering it.
I hope it's better than the last cd.

1) opeth's cd is stalled due to manufacturing problems.

2) (from www.metalupdate.com)
Glen Benton (Deicide) recently laid down the vocal tracks for Vital Remains' forthcoming album 'Dechristianize' at Morrisound Recordings - aside from Benton, the recording lineup consisted of Tony Lazaro on guitars and David Suzuki on guitars, leads, bass and drums - in Tony's words: "We'd just like to say eternal thanks to Glen for doing such a fucking killer job, and to the rest of the guys in Deicide for being cool about Glen doing the record! This record is for our fans, and the true Metal Underground!!! Hail Satan!!!"

Hate Eternal:

Metal Fest Slots Cancelled

Both shows in April (New Jersey and New England Metal Fest appearances) are being cancelled due to priority of new album production timing and a family emergency. Erik and the guys apologize deeply as they have been looking forward to playing for the fans at both of these events, but both of these priorities have to take precedent.

Cannibal Corpse = Not Being Sued

Here's a post CC"s forum admin posted:
"The post that was here earlier about Metallica was nothing but false! I vow to find out who has done this! I have spoke to a few people and they knew nothing about it. Nothing but a joke. Like I said "I WILL GET YOU!". I already have an idea who it is. I am working on the proof and I will get it. Ask Kurac!!
Nothing to be alarmed about Cannibal are not getting sued."

Press Release from Metal Blade Records, 3-20-02
Cannibal Corpse is being sued by soft-rockers metallica, due to their
inclusion of the hidden track "no remorse" on their most recent album, "gore obsessed." A 5 million dollar lawsuit could cripple the band financially.
