4 days, 960 miles driven, 8hrs of sleep, almost 100 miles walked, losing my $80 ear plugs, and MDF 2015 is now in the book. I wished I had more time to chit-chat with everyone, but I was always running from stage to stage to stage to stage. Regardless, for those days, we were all one big happy family running around the city of Baltimore, enjoying metal music and avoiding the camp crusty that the crusties set up.
There were so many highlights, Master, Massacre, Primordial (was that sunscreen he was wearing), the best Napalm Death set ever, Melt-banana, awkward Acrturus, my second Agoraphobic Nosebleed set (and their second), finally seeing Bloodbath, getting hit harder than a Mobb Deep track, Razor’s set. Just so much that I wish I could have paused to enjoy a little bit longer.
Thank you to Hillarie for playing mommy and making sure I got food/sunscreen/schedules/etc... Evan, Ryan, the DMG, Sid, Nancy, Matt Black, Nick, and all the staff of all the venues. This was the smoothest MDF ever. I will see you next year.
Finally, thank you to everyone that looks at/shares/likes the pictures I posted, all the people who stopped me to say they loved what I do, all the people who went out of their way to move, yelled "RETURN TO THE PIT" at me. And most importantly, Sorry to the people whose feet I so rudely stepped on, whose heads I accidentally hit with my elbows, and/or whom I completely blew past as they tried to talk to me because my earplugs were still in. Everything that helps me in the slightest bit makes my job that much easier.
Even on this, my 11th MDF, I learned a lot and hopefully will do an even better job next year. I have some ideas of things that I need to do (yes demon dave, more random shots), but if you have anything else, hit me up rev at returntothepit dot com
