Subject: The Atlas Moth posts new song

May 1, 2014, Chicago - The Atlas Moth share "Sacred Vine," a new song from their forthcoming release, The Old Believer (June 10, Profound Lore), via Alternative Press ( http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/the...tlas_moth_sacred_vine_song_premiere ).

"'Sacred Vine' truly encompasses every aspect of our sound dating back from our first EP all the way to An Ache... and pushes even farther," said vocalist/guitarist Stavros Giannopoulos.

Pre-orders for the 10-track album are available now via these links: CD ( http://www.profoundlorerecords.com/products-page/plr-items/the-atlas-moth-the-old-believer-pre-order/), iTunes (with immediate download of "Collider" and "Sacred Vine": https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-old-believer/id870811368) and via Bankcamp ( http://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-old-believer-2). The Old Believer cover features a water-reveal stock, which when dipped in water, reveals additional imagery.

Pitchfork recently debuted the song "Collider" (http://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/16833-the-atlas-moth-collider/), the first new material from the 10-song album, which they said "is one of the group's tightest, most composed songs yet," adding "The guitars still have that sludged-out Deftones feel-hooky but not polished enough for radio-and Giannopoulos' black metal shriek still sounds vicious, with a little of that road dog touch he's been cultivating."

The Old Believer, produced by The Atlas Moth's own Andrew Ragin at Chicago's Wall To Wall Studios, features guests Joe Duplantier (Gojira), Marcus Eliopulos (Stabbing Westward) and Subrosa violinists Kim Pack and Sarah Pendleton. The album was mastered by Kyle Spencer (Harvey Milk).
