DECEASED / OCTOBER 31
King Fowley recently suffered a mild stroke, and was brought on by a blood
clot in his brain that was about the size of a walnut - King is expected
to regain about 95% of the functionality he had before the stroke with the
help of therapy
BLOODBATH
vocalist Mike Åkerfeldt (Opeth) has been replaced by Peter Tägtgren
(Hypocrisy, Pain, The Abyss) - in addition, drummer Martin "Axe" Axenrot
(Witchery, Satanic Slaughter, Nepehenzy Chaos Order) has been added to the
lineup
DIMMU BORGIR
Reno Kiilerich (Panzerchrist, Exmortem) has been drafted as session
drummer
CARPATHIAN FOREST
lead man Nattefrost had an accident that left him with a broken collarbone
- the band will have to start the No Mercy Festival Tour without him and
he will join the tour as soon as he is cleared to fly
SATYRICON
Trym (Zyklon, Emperor) will be sitting in for drummer Kjetil Haraldstad
for the US tour as Haraldstad was denied a US visa
THERION
Petter (Master Massive) has been recruited as touring drummer
THORNS
mastermind Snorre Ruch has launched a new side project called Thorns Ltd
dedicated to making experimental music tailored specifically for art
exhibitions
PUNGENT STENCH
Mario Klausner has parted ways with the band due to time constraints in
order to fully concentrate on his own band Collapse 7 - the split was
amicable and Mario will continue to perform live with the Stench until a
suitable replacement is found
DEAD WATER DROWNING
the band has broken up - each member plans to continue doing something
music related - vocalist Nate Johnson has officially joined Premonitions
Of War and drummer Jon Dow will be filling in for The Red Chord on their
upcoming tour dates
REVOLTING COCKS
Al Jourgensen (Ministry) is in the studio with a revamped lineup rounded
out by Mike Scaccia (Rigor Mortis, Ministry), John Monte (M.O.D., Mind
Funk), Phil Owen (Skatenigs) and Mark Baker (Hellions)
RAM-ZET
bassist Solem has been replaced by Jon "Daniel"
EXULCERATE
original drummer Lee Eubanks has been replaced by Dennis Sanders
(Disembowel, Mortality)
DISEMBOWEL
drummer Dennis Sanders (Exulcerate, Mortality) and bassist Matt Hernandez
(Mortality) have been added to the lineup
MY RUIN
bassist Mat Dauzat (Hydrovibe) will temporarily replace Meghan Mattox who
was recently sacked
BLACK MASS
The Blasphemous One has returned to the horde on lead guitar - the
decision was made when it became apparent that Josef's work schedule was
going to prevent him from committing to any serious tour plans - Josef
will still appear on the new CD and will continue to contribute to the
band
THE DUSKFALL
guitar player Joachim Lindbäck has decided to leave the band - Lars Lofven
(Defleshed) will be session guitarist for upcoming gigs
SET ABLAZE
guitarist Dave Gonzalez has been replaced by former Upon Creation vocalist
Yohannes Habtu - the band is currently working on new material
HELLRAISED
hailing from Virginia USA, this new act features former members of Seventh
Gate, Carrion Lord, Black Mass and Stench Of Lies - the music is a mix of
black, death & thrash metal
CANDLELIGHT / THREEMAN
Candlelight Records has partnered with Threeman Recordings to release all
new and reissued catalog titles from the growing Scandinavian record label
throughout the US and Canada - Threeman Recordings is owned and run by
members of Entombed with Daniel Strachal - the label's roster includes The
Project Hate, Murder Squad, God Among Insects and Entombed

the label has signed agreements for exclusive distribution with ZYX Music
and RSK Entertainment that will see all Crash Music and affiliated labels
