Bio
The Roots - NeverSayNever can be traced back to 1998 when high school friends Jeff Holmes and Jim McMahon each began playing guitar. After playing in just two high school shows together, they earned a spot in their yearbook as "most likely to become the next big metal act", but their collaborative musical effort was slowed as they went off to different colleges. However, they still continued to write and record on their own, sending songs and ideas to each other via the internet.

The Transition - In the summer of 2004, the two had returned to their hometown of Littleton, NH, and began working on new material. Armed only with guitars, a mic, and a drum machine, Jeff and Jim took their music to the public, playing at open mics to unsuspecting crowds. Their music was well received, even by those unfamiliar with the genre of metal. They played their first real show in August of 2004, a Battle of the Bands which featured a dozen north country acts, and they managed to place 3rd despite only being a two-man band.

They then met Dave Ellis and Nick Post of Malignant Discord at a Halloween show in 2004. Their similar interests in metal, their skill, and their enthusiasm led the four to join together to form NeverSayNever. The addition of Nick allowed Jim to turn his focus to vocals, and they all worked together to begin writing new material.

The Evolution - 2005 was a defining year for the direction NeverSayNever was headed as they played 32 shows throughout New Hampshire, even dipping into Massachusetts a couple of times. They worked hard to advance their music by networking with bands, venues, and promoters, and they slowly started to become a staple of the New Hampshire metal scene. They took part in 5 Battle of the Bands and placed in 4 -- 1st once, 2nd twice, and 3rd once.

The Revolving Door Of Bassists - 2005 was also a bassist roller coaster for the group as they added and dropped 3 bassists, none lasting more than a month. The first was John Dascoulias, but he had to part from the band after only one practice in order to focus on personal issues that would interfere with a band commitment. The second was Dan Burton; he managed to play a couple shows with the band, but he was forced to leave the band due to personal issues that were beyond his control. The third was Erik Faro; he played one show with NeverSayNever, but shortly after he left in order to focus on school and vocals for Supplication. The group finally found a more committed bassist in Steve Ouellette, who is also the bassist for Hand Choke Neck. NeverSayNever had seen him play several times and believed his love of metal, his on-stage presence, and his personality would be an excellent fit.

The Demos - All music recorded prior to 2006 was recorded with a drum machine. Many were eager to hear Dave on the recordings, especially after seeing him perform live. The group decided to take a break starting in November 2005 until mid January of 2006 to produce higher quality recordings that more closely resembled their live sound. The group went to Alex at What Just Happened Studio for his services in recording Ellis.

The Guitarist Tryout - In early December of 2005, Nick and the rest of the group decided it would be beneficial to the band to find a more devoted and passionate guitarist. The amicable split left NeverSayNever on the search for a new guitarist, finally decided on Justin Regis in mid February of 2006.

The Future - The group is intent on building on the foundation they established in 2005, hoping to solidify their live performance and expand their playing territory to cover all of New England. They also will complete a 5-song demo in early 2006, and they will continue to work on new material whenever possible.
