Ed Gein is taking a much need break after successful summer tour with Genghis Tron and Gaza. “That tour was amazing… Both bands rule and are really great guys. Best tour we've done in a loooooong time” comments bassist Aaron Jenkins. Later this year Ed Gein will be working on a soon-to-be-announced split release before finishing the writing for their new album. ”We'll be back to writing our next full length [soon]. We aren't planning any tours for the time being. We need a retreat back to real life for a while so we can all keep our sanity, work on new songs... We'll be out touring again after the new full length comes out, but we'll probably do some weekends here and there in the meantime, maybe a week long run.” Ed Gein has posted lyrics to their forthcoming release on their MySpace page HERE. If the lyrics are any indication, their newest effort will be as hard-hitting and brutal as previous releases.
