Abhorred started in late 2003, and in 2004 started playing shows. A demo was recorded in early 2004 and given to anyone and everyone within reach. Josh Staples (ex-Ascendancy) joined the fold on bass during the recording of the debut full-length WALLOWING IN UTTER CHAOS, released by NotCommon Records.

Abhorred has played alongside such bands as Deceased, Demilich, Toxic Holocaust and Magrudergrind, as well as Phobia, Circle of Dead Children, and Kill the Client as part of the 2005 Doom and Grind Fest at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA. Not to mention countless shows with fellow MASSHOLES Grief, Watchmaker, Hirudinea, Adolf Satan, Kevorkian's Angels, Noosebomb, Dissector, Cryptic Warning and Hekseri to name merely a few.
Now, at the start of 2006, we have parted ways with bassist Josh Staples. (We sincerely wish this kid guy dude guy the best of luck with any and all future endeavors [guy dude kid guy].)
Joining the fold on bass is one Mr. Jeff Hayward. The new album is damn near finished, and we're playing shows again, so start licking our balls.
